Florian Ceynowa został patronem szkoły podstawowej w Sławoszynie
Ręcznie wyszywany sztandar nawiązujący do profesji „Budziciela Kaszub” i dwie tablice upamiętniające jego wizerunek trafiły do podstawówki w Sławoszynie – z okazji nadania placówce imienia Floriana Ceynowy.
– Wybór tej wybitnej postaci był więc oczywisty, tym bardziej że obchodzimy okrągłą rocznicę jego urodzin – mówi wójt gminy Krokowa, Henryk Doering.
To ostatnia ze szkół w gminie Krokowa, która nie miała do tej pory patrona. Uroczystość obchodzono z wielką pompą – przybyli samorządowcy, parlamentarzyści, działacze kaszubscy i uczniowie szkoły. Florian Ceynowa urodził się właśnie w Sławoszynie – dodaje dyrektor podstawówki w Sławoszynie, Beata Minga. Florian Ceynowa był m.in lekarzem, żołnierzem i propagatorem kultury kaszubskiej. Jako pierwszy zaczął publikować w języku kaszubskim.
