Na Kaszubach już coraz więcej rodzin wprowadza model dwujęzycznego polsko-kaszubskiego wychowania. Obecny rok stowarzyszenie Kaszëbskô Jednota obwołała Rokiem Dziecka Dwujęzycznego.
Organizacja chce zwrócić uwagę i dać przykład, że z dziećmi trzeba i można rozmawiać po kaszubsku od najmłodszych lat. Jak przekonują naukowcy dwujęzyczne wychowanie rozwija inteligencję dziecka a także ułatwia w przyszłości naukę kolejnych języków. Jak przekonać Kaszubów, żeby do swoich dzieci mówili po kaszubsku? Zapytaliśmy o to nauczycieli rodnej mowy. Najlepszym modelem jest podział, gdzie jedno z rodziców mówi do dziecka w języku polskim, a drugie w języku kaszubskim. I to konsekwentnie od najmłodszych lat. Szereg działań promocyjnych w tej sprawie zapowiada stowarzyszenie Kaszëbskô Jednota.
