Twórzmy modę na dwujęzyczność
Rok 2015 na Kaszubach ma upłynąć pod znakiem Roku Dziecka Dwujęzycznego. Specjaliści i działacze przekonują rodziców i nauczycieli do mówienia do dzieci po kaszubsku.
– Twórzmy modę na dwujęzyczność – apeluje do Kaszubów znawca polityki językowej mniejszości w Europie profesor Tomasz Wicherkiewicz z Uniwersytetu Adama Mickiewicza w Poznaniu.
Najlepszą metodą nauczania w przedszkolu według naukowców jest imersja całkowita, czyli zanurzenie się w języku albo inaczej „kąpiel w języku”. Takie nauczanie stosują podobne do Kaszubów mniejszości w Europie, jak Bretończycy we Francji, Fryzowie w Holandii, Baskowie i Katalończycy w Hiszpanii oraz Serbołużyczanie w Niemczech.
– U wszystkich mniejszości inicjatorem wprowadzenia ich języka do przedszkoli byli rodzice – podkreśla profesor Tomasz Wicherkiewicz.
Imersja całkowita polega na całkowitej dwujęzyczności – czyli przedszkolakami zajmują się dwie nauczycielki, z których jedna mówi w języku urzędowym, a druga w języku mniejszości. Dzieci uczą się w ten sposób wyrażać swoje emocje i myśli w tym języku, poznają czynności codzienne i literaturę.
W Polsce na dwujęzyczność w przedszkolu postawiła mniejszość białoruska. W ogłoszonym przez stowarzyszenie Kaszëbskô Jednota Roku Dziecka Dwujęzycznego organizacja planuje kampanię medialną, a także projekty propagujące dwujęzyczne wychowanie.
