Na świetego Mikołaja najbardziej czekają dzieci
Mimo, tak złego pogodowo dnia – to na 6 grudnia czekały wszystkie dzieci. W domach – najczęściej w butach na oknach – święty Mikołaj zostawił już prezenty, pojawi się jeszcze na wielu organizowanych dzisiaj imprezach i kiermaszach.Najbardziej z wizyty świętego Mikołaja cieszyli się już wczoraj pacjenci oddziału dziecięcego w szpitalu w Wejherowie. Wraz ze świętym przyszły dzieci, które przygotowały dla swoich chorych rówieśników specjalne kartki świąteczne.Przypomnijmy, że pierwowzorem postaci rozdającej prezenty 6 grudnia był żyjący na przełomie III i IV wieku w Turcji – biskup Mikołaj z Mirry. Zasłynął jako cudotwórca, ratując żeglarzy i miasto od głodu. Miał rozdać cały swój majątek ubogim. Przedstawiany jest jako starzec z okazałą brodą, często z pastorałem, z workiem prezentów i pękiem rózg w ręce. 6 grudnia – w rocznicę śmierci świętego grzecznym dzieciom przynosi prezenty – zwykle słodycze, a niegrzecznym – na ostrzeżenie rózgę.
