Waldemar Elwart: Każda kapliczka to osobna historia
– Najstarsza kapliczka jaką udokumentowaliśmy stoi w Gnojewie i datuje się nią na XV wiek. Projekt rozpocząłem od kapliczki stojącej w Stężycy, która została ufundowana jako wotum za przeżycie I wojny światowej w 1920 roku – mówi Waldemar Elwart.
– Od 2001 roku dokumentuję architekturę sakralną. Na początku były to kapliczki kaszubskie, potem zainteresowałem się architekturą sakralną Europy. Rozpoczęliśmy pracę od kościołów Islandii, potem Norwegii. W tej chwili dokumentujemy kapliczki na Kociewiu, Żuławach, Kaszubach, Pobrzeżu Słowińskim i Powiślu – podsumowuje Waldemar Elwart z Muzuem Narodowego w Gdańsku.
